A historical fundraiser
Earlier this month, the start-up Kineis raised a total of 100 million euros for its nano-satellite constellation project. By providing such funds to this project, the CNES, CLS and BPI France are building on the promising future of the Newspace. The emergence of cheaper satellites, due particularly to the emergence of the new Indian and Chinese markets, is boosting the entire French space sector, but especially in Toulouse.
Kineis' response to the stakes of connected devices
EREMS has been actively involved in the development of this nano-satellite constellation by designing and manufacturing the Power Conditioning and Distribution Unit (PCDU) for the ANGELS prototype. The 25 kilos satellite flight model was successfully put into orbit by the Soyuz launcher last December and will be joined very soon in order to constitute a 25 nano-satellites constellation by 2022. The main goal of this constellation is to support the whole 30 billion devices of IoT (Internet Of Things) by 2030.
